The admission letter arrives. The job offer is signed. The ticket is booked.
Then come the questions nobody included in the welcome email. Where will you live? How will you reach campus on Monday? Who can help when something stops working? And how do you meet people when everyone around you seems to have a life already?
StayZ is the relocation and city settlement platform for first-time movers in India. It is built around students, freshers and young professionals starting life in a new city.
The idea is simple: help you move, find your place, settle in and start building your life.
A first move is a series of unfamiliar decisions
Consider a student arriving for college. Choosing somewhere to stay is one decision. Understanding the commute, arranging daily essentials, knowing whom to contact and finding a community are several more.
A fresher joining a company faces a similar transition, with a different timetable. Reporting dates, salary timing, unfamiliar neighbourhoods and office travel all need to fit together.
For someone doing this for the first time, each small task demands attention. Even when individual services exist, the person moving has to connect them.
That is the problem StayZ is being built around.
Move → Arrive → Settle → Explore → Belong
StayZ’s journey has five stages:
- Move: Prepare for the destination, understand priorities and plan the transition.
- Arrive: Make the first day easier through move-in readiness and clear next steps.
- Settle: Find everyday essentials, local support and a route to resolving issues.
- Explore: Discover the city beyond the route between your room and campus or office.
- Belong: Build connections and routines that make the city feel familiar.
Housing is one entry point in this wider journey. The product vision also includes dedicated manager support, local services, community, events, benefits and a portable trust layer. Availability should always be checked for the destination and service concerned.
What StayZ wants to change
Our ambition is to make the transition easier to navigate as a whole. A useful relocation experience should help someone answer both “Where do I begin?” and “What happens after I arrive?”
That gives StayZ a clear focus as an emerging Indian startup: the person starting a new life in an unfamiliar city.
If your move is coming up, begin with the first-time mover checklist. If you have already arrived, use the first-week settlement plan.
StayZ. Land. Settle. Belong.
